Quark Muffins with Nougat Core

The perfect quark muffins with nougat core recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Eggs
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 250 g Quark
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tbsp Strength
  • 1 tbsp Semolina
  • 0,25 tsp Grated tonka bean
  • 60 g Cut-Resistant nougat
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Beat the eggs together with the sugar until frothy. Then stir in the pinch of salt, starch and semolina. Finally stir in the quark very well and add the tonka bean zest. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a muffin tin with muffin cups.
  2. Fill the muffin molds a little more than 3/4 full with the batter. Cut the nougat into 6 equal-sized pieces and place one piece each in a muffin pan with the quark dough. Now cover each piece of nougat with a tablespoon of batter and bake on the middle shelf for about 20-25 minutes. Let cool and dust with icing sugar.
