Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g margarine, also semi-skimmed
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Lemon(s) – peel, grated
  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 125 g raisins
  • Margarine for greasing and spreading
  • Sugar, for sprinkling

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

This quark stollen tastes good not only at Christmas time

Whisk margarine, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Stir in lemon zest and quark. Combine flour and baking powder, stir in some, add the rum, and knead in the rest of the flour. Finally, knead in the raisins. Shape the dough into a stollen and place it on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 60 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush with melted margarine and sprinkle with sugar.
