Ingredients for 16 servings:
- 350 g butter
- 350 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 6 eggs
- 350 g flour
- 3 tsp, leveled baking powder
- 2 lemon peel, grated
- 250 g powdered sugar
- lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cream the softened butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in along with the lemon zest. Spread the batter onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 175-200 degrees Celsius for 20-30 minutes. For the glaze, sift the icing sugar into a bowl. Stir in the lemon juice to form a glaze and glaze the cake.
