Quick pasta bake with leftovers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g pasta
  • salt water
  • 300 g leftover roast or cooked meat (cold meatloaf)
  • 1 can peas and carrots
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g processed cheese with herbs
  • 300 g cheese (e.g. Emmental), grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Put in everything that’s there!

Briefly pre-cook the pasta in salted water (approx. 5 minutes). During this time, chop the meatloaf (or meatballs, sausage, etc.) into small pieces. For the sauce, bring the milk and the liquid from the canned vegetables to a boil, then melt the processed cheese and a handful of grated cheese. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix the briefly cooked pasta with the meat and vegetables and place in a baking dish. Pour the cheese milk over it and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake at 200°C for approx. 20 minutes.
