Quick spelt bread with sunflower seeds

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g spelt flour (wholemeal spelt)
  • 150 g wheat flour (whole wheat)
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 15 g salt
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 400 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 tsp coffee powder (Caro coffee, extra strong)
  • ½ tsp caraway powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp bread spice mix

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Combine both flours, salt, spices, and sunflower seeds. Dissolve the yeast and Carokaffee in the water, add, and knead into a dough. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Pour the dough into a baking pan (the dough will be quite moist) and smooth it with a spatula. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes. Bake in the center of a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 50 minutes (tap the dough to test for cracking).
