Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 6 eggs
- 400 ml milk
- 10 tbsp port wine
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1 baguette(s)
- Oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Cinnamon, for dusting

Fried, sweet baguette Portuguese style
Cut the baguette into 1.5 cm wide slices. Crack the eggs into a bowl with a fork. Combine the milk, port wine, honey, and cinnamon in another bowl and stir with a spoon until the honey dissolves. Then add the baguette slices to the bowl with the milk, followed by the beaten eggs (as if breading). Heat a pan with plenty of oil, add the bread slices, and fry until light brown on both sides. Dust with cinnamon and powdered sugar.
