Rainbow cake bases

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 300 ml oil
  • 150 ml milk
  • 150 ml mineral water
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 6 eggs
  • n. B. Food coloring in 6 rainbow colors
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan/convection oven. Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy, doubled in volume. Stir in the wet ingredients, then sift the dry ingredients and gently fold in. Divide the dough into six equal portions and color with the food coloring. Bake each portion individually in a greased pan for 15 minutes. Then let cool. To assemble, spread the batter with a cream and stack the layers on top of each other, staggering the colors. The lemon buttermilk cream from my profile or a light buttercream works well for this.
