Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour, type 550
  • 50 g butter
  • 20 g yeast
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g raisins
  • 1 egg yolk, whisked

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Sift the flour. Melt the butter and let it cool again. Grease the baking tray with butter. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Crumble the yeast into a large bowl and mix with the lukewarm milk. Add the flour, sugar, salt, egg, and cooled butter and knead vigorously until the dough forms a ball. Cover the bowls and let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Then knead again and form into a log. Divide into two equal pieces and let rest on the greased baking tray for another 20 minutes. Brush the bread with the egg yolk. Place the tray on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
