Raspberry decorative sugar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g raspberries
  • 180 g granulated sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Pink sugar granules, ideal for decorating cookies and desserts

Wash the raspberries and carefully pat dry. Then puree them very finely with a hand blender. Strain through a fine sieve. Put about 2-3 teaspoons of this into a bowl and quickly stir in the sugar crystals, a little at a time. Place the colored sugar crystals flat on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let them dry in the oven at about 50°C (top and bottom heat) for about 1 hour. If the sugar still has a few small lumps, carefully separate them with the back of a knife. The sugar can change color slightly during baking, so it’s best to decorate with it after baking.
