Real American chocolate-vanilla cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 bottle of flavoring (vanilla)
  • 250 g oat flakes, fine
  • ½ tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 125 g dark chocolate
  • 175 g almonds or nuts, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy. Stir in both sugars and the vanilla extract. Mix the oats with the baking powder and salt and gradually stir into the butter mixture. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit). Finely grate the chocolate and stir it into the batter along with the nuts. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them 5 cm (2 inches) apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 10 minutes. These cookies are especially authentic with pecans.
