Red cabbage salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ small head of red cabbage
  • 2 tbsp sugar (more or less to taste)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar essence
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

tastes like a doner kebab

Cut the red cabbage into thin strips (I leave out the stalk and the thick, white parts… they’re too bitter for me). Add them to a bowl with the remaining ingredients. Knead with a glove (alternatively, place your hand in a lunch bag or freezer bag). This way, you won’t get purple fingers. Let it stand and season to taste. Tip: I always refrigerate the cabbage… it tastes better to me.
