Red Currant Crumble Thaler

The perfect red currant crumble thaler recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 125 ml Warm milk
  • 300 g Flour
  • 0,5 Cubes of yeast
  • 1 Egg
  • 75 g Melt margarine, cool
  • 3 tbsp Sugar

Quark mass:

  • 250 g Quark
  • 1 packet Vanillin sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Sugar

Make sprinkles from:

  • 75 g Melt butter, cool
  • 135 g Flour
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanillin sugar

Fruit:

  • 400 g Red currants (or other fruit, fresh or frozen)

Preparation / dough:

  1. Make a yeast dough from the ingredients and let rise for 40 minutes. Knead the dough and cut into 10 pieces, roll out into a thaler, approx. 13 cm. Spread the quark mixture on top, cover with fruit and spread the crumble on top. Bake for 15-20 min at 200 ° C top / bottom heat, cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
