Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar sour cherries, pitted
  • 300 ml water
  • 2 tbsp, heaped red fruit jam
  • 80 g semolina

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cherry compote, quick and easy

Bring the jar of sour cherries, 300 ml of water, and the jam to a boil in a saucepan. Then add the semolina. Cook for about 5 minutes while stirring. Then transfer to a bowl and let cool.
