Red Velvet Cake – Wedding Cake (Marina Wahl)

The perfect red velvet cake – wedding cake (marina wahl) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Sponge Cake:

  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Baking cocoa
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 500 g Flour
  • 500 g Sugar
  • 500 ml Buttermilk
  • Food color red

Cream cheese cream:

  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 350 g Soft butter
  • 1,2 kg Cream cheese 3.5% fat
  • Gum paste

Sponge Cake:

  1. Beat the butter and sugar until frothy. Gradually stir the eggs into the butter mixture. Stir in the food coloring, cocoa and vanilla pulp. Mix in the buttermilk and flour alternately. Finally stir the salt, starch, baking soda and vinegar into the batter. Fill the dough into two springform pans (diameter: 18 cm and 24 cm)

Cream cheese cream:

  1. Mix the butter with the powdered sugar until creamy. Stir in the cream cheese and vanilla. Refrigerate.

Completion of the wedding cake:

  1. Cut the 24 cm cake and the 18 cm cake twice. Cut a paper plate under the 18 cm cake. Fill both cakes with the cream cheese cream and brush on. Then cool.

Decoration:

  1. Cover with fondant and decorate flowers made of gum paste.
