Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 200 g brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp clove powder
- 1 tsp cocoa powder (heaped)
- 125 ml red wine
- 180 g flour
- 70 g cornstarch
- 10 g baking powder
- Cake icing
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Combine softened butter and sugar well. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy. Stir in the cinnamon, clove powder, cocoa powder, red wine, and the flour mixed with the baking powder and cornstarch. Spread into a prepared cake pan and bake at 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 35-40 minutes (test with a toothpick). Once cooled, glaze with a red wine glaze. Mix powdered sugar with a little red wine and spread it over the cake, or simply sprinkle with powdered sugar.
