Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters dry red wine
  • 500 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 250 ml orange juice
  • 250 ml white rum
  • 250 ml cognac

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Combine the red wine, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a large saucepan and heat on the stovetop until dissolved. Do not boil. Let cool slightly. Meanwhile, filter the orange juice. This is necessary even if the juice is clear and pulpless. Once the red wine has cooled for about 20 to 30 minutes, add the filtered juice, rum, and cognac. This liqueur tastes best when refrigerated.
