Red Wine Plums with Rum

The perfect red wine plums with rum recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 kg Plums
  • 500 g Rock sugar
  • 1 bottle Red wine
  • 0,5 bottle Rum 54%
  • 10 Cloves
  • 3 small bars Cinammon
  1. Wash, halve and stone the plums
  2. Heat red wine, rock sugar, cloves and cinnamon sticks (DO NOT boil) until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the plums and heat again, leave to stand for 5 minutes with the stove switched off.
  4. Divide the plums into glasses and fill up with the stock ….. after 24 hours of rest, pour in the rum.
  5. The glasses should be allowed to soak for at least 2-3 weeks.
  6. A great side dish for a winter dessert …..
