Red Wine Plums with Rum
The perfect red wine plums with rum recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 kg Plums
- 500 g Rock sugar
- 1 bottle Red wine
- 0,5 bottle Rum 54%
- 10 Cloves
- 3 small bars Cinammon
- Wash, halve and stone the plums
- Heat red wine, rock sugar, cloves and cinnamon sticks (DO NOT boil) until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the plums and heat again, leave to stand for 5 minutes with the stove switched off.
- Divide the plums into glasses and fill up with the stock ….. after 24 hours of rest, pour in the rum.
- The glasses should be allowed to soak for at least 2-3 weeks.
- A great side dish for a winter dessert …..
