Refined potato dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 large onions
  • 150 g ham (farmer’s ham or Parma)
  • 1 tsp basil
  • ¼ tsp marjoram
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • ¼ tsp salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pack of ready-made mix for 12 potato dumplings half/half
  • Water, according to package instructions, but subtract the liquid from the 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mix everything with the water. The broth is ready when it resembles dishwater. It sounds crazy, but it tastes delicious. Add the ready-made powder, let it stand for 10 minutes, then form dumplings and let them simmer in the hot water for 20 minutes.
