Refreshing elderflower lemon soda with mint

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of carbonated mineral water
  • 28 tsp elderflower syrup
  • 8 tsp lemon juice
  • Mint, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

For fresh lemons (the amount needed varies depending on the size; for small lemons, it’s about 1.5), first squeeze the lemons and strain them through a fine sieve. Then combine the water, syrup, and lemon juice and stir thoroughly. Finally, add fresh mint and ice cubes either to the drinking vessels or directly to the pitcher. If you prefer it less sweet and more sour, you can of course vary the dosage of syrup and lemon juice. Note: I used the syrup from “Hema,” but it should work with others, too, although you might need to use a different dosage.
