Rice and Meat Balls
The perfect rice and meat balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Short grain rice
- 500 g Minced beef
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp Noble sweet paprika
- 1 tsp Ground coriander
- 150 g Butter
- 2 Freshly cooked onions
- 0,25 tsp Ground saffron
- Ground pepper
- 500 ml Broth
- 0,25 a cup Chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- Mix the rice and minced meat with a fork and add the cinnamon, paprika and coriander. Shape the meat mixture into about 20 balls of the same size. Melt the butter in a heavy, tall pan. Brown the balls in the butter in portions, turning them frequently.
- When all the balls are browned, add the onions, saffron, and pepper. Pour in the stock and cook the balls covered over a medium heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the parsley and lemon juice and cook for a few minutes.
