Rice and Meat Balls

The perfect rice and meat balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Short grain rice
  • 500 g Minced beef
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Noble sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • 150 g Butter
  • 2 Freshly cooked onions
  • 0,25 tsp Ground saffron
  • Ground pepper
  • 500 ml Broth
  • 0,25 a cup Chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  1. Mix the rice and minced meat with a fork and add the cinnamon, paprika and coriander. Shape the meat mixture into about 20 balls of the same size. Melt the butter in a heavy, tall pan. Brown the balls in the butter in portions, turning them frequently.
  1. When all the balls are browned, add the onions, saffron, and pepper. Pour in the stock and cook the balls covered over a medium heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the parsley and lemon juice and cook for a few minutes.
