Roasted green asparagus – Italian

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bunch of asparagus, green
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • some salt and pepper
  • possibly Parma ham

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Remove the woody ends from the asparagus and peel the lower third if desired. Sauté the asparagus with the garlic, salt, and pepper in olive oil until it begins to brown. Then arrange the asparagus on a platter and grate the Parmesan cheese over it. If you like, you can also wrap the asparagus in Parma ham. A very simple recipe with excellent flavor. Perfect as an antipasti or as a side dish to Mediterranean pork fillet or similar.
