Root vegetables à la Anne

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1,300 g potatoes
  • 500 g carrot(s), diced from the can (drained weight)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 cubes of stock
  • 4 sausages, fresh
  • some salt and pepper
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

from the pressure cooker (tastes like mom’s)

Pour some hot water into the pressure cooker (approx. 500 ml) and add the stock cubes. Peel and dice the potatoes. Peel and roughly dice the onion. Add the sausages to the water, then the potatoes and onion. Close the pressure cooker and set the lid to pressure level 2. Set the burner to the highest setting and wait for the steam to stop escaping. From now on, you have 15 minutes. As soon as you see the green ring (meaning the correct pressure has been built up), you can turn off the stove and wait a few more minutes. Release the pressure, open the lid, and finally add the diced carrots. These only need to be heated in the existing heat. Once the vegetables are warm, you can mash the stew a little if desired. This recipe can of course also be made with other vegetables. However, please note that the vegetables are only heated. If the vegetables also need to be boiled or cooked, you can add them at the same time as the potatoes.
