Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg white
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp rose water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 50 g rose petals, dried
  • 100 g candy melts

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and add the powdered sugar. Whisk until stiff peaks form. Add the rose water and cornstarch and whisk vigorously once more. Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper using a piping bag. Dry the meringues in a preheated oven at 90°C for about 1.5 hours. Crush the rose petals in a mortar and pestle. Once the meringues are dry, let them cool, then dip them in melted candy melts and rose petals. This recipe makes about one baking sheet.
