Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g potatoes, uncooked
  • 30 g butter
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg, grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Butter for the molds

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

always successful, ideal as a barbecue side dish

Generously grease 4 ovenproof ceramic dishes (180-200 ml capacity) with butter. Peel and coarsely grate the potatoes. Heat the butter until it melts. Mix well with the potatoes, salt, and nutmeg. Divide evenly among the dishes and press down lightly. Bake on the middle rack at 200°C for 35-40 minutes. The same recipe also applies to boiled potatoes, in which case the baking time is reduced to 20 minutes.
