Rowanberry jelly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg berries (rowanberries)
  • 500 g apples
  • Gelling sugar (1 : 1), quantity depends on the berry juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Strip and wash the berries, then blanch them in boiling water for 1 minute. Peel and chop the apples. Combine the berries in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low until the juice is drawn. Strain through cheesecloth. Once the juice has cooled, mix with the same amount of gelling sugar and cook according to the package instructions. Pour into hot, rinsed jars, seal, and turn upside down for 2-3 minutes.
