Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 ml kefir
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pack of yeast
- 600 g flour
- 100 ml oil, e.g. sunflower oil

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Mix the first 6 ingredients together. Knead the dough vigorously and let it rest in a warm place for one hour. Then roll out to about 1 cm thick, dusting with flour occasionally if necessary to prevent the dough from sticking to your fingers. Cut into strips about 5 cm wide. Cut the long strips again into pieces about 10-12 cm long and slit them in the middle with a knife. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the krembli until golden brown, turning once. They taste great with nut cream, jam, or sour cream.
