Sage and rosemary mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 6 stalks of sage
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 ml cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the potatoes, cut into large cubes, and cook in plenty of salted water for about 20 minutes until tender. Meanwhile, pluck the rosemary needles and sage leaves and roughly chop them. Heat half the butter in a small pan and briefly fry the rosemary and sage over medium heat. Drain the cooked potatoes and let them cool slightly. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher, add the remaining butter, cream, and fried herbs, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
