Salads: Tomato Salad
The perfect salads: tomato salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 750 g Tomatoes
- 1 Fresh onion
- 250 g Mozzarella minis
- 2 tbsp White balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp Water
- 0,5 tsp Mustard
- 0,5 tsp Sugar
- Black pepper from the mill
- Salt
- 2 tbsp Chopped basil
- 2 tbsp Freshly chopped chives
- Our greenhouse is full of tomatoes and for our barbecue today I made a lot of cherry tomatoes into salad.
- The tomatoes are first washed briefly (not really necessary for your own from the greenhouse). Then they are cut in half and the stalk is removed. Depending on the size, I then quartered them or left them like that.
- Peel the onion and cut into half rings and let it sit next to the tomatoes in the bowl. Drain the mozzarella (I had the new orichette) and add it to the bowl as well. Wash and chop the basil and chives.
- Make a dressing from vinegar, olive oil, mustard, water, salt, pepper and sugar in a shaker and pour over the salad, adding the basil and chives. Let it steep for about 1 hour and season to taste again before serving.
