enough for 12 pieces – ideal as a light and tasty party snack

Mix the flour with the baking powder. Now add the margarine, salt, milk, and 1 tablespoon of chives and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for about 15 minutes. Roughly chop the smoked salmon and knead it together with the cream cheese (if you want it very finely, you can also puree the mixture). Add half a bunch of chopped chives and mix everything together. Season with pepper. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Roll out the chilled dough and cut out 12 squares or triangles. Place the salmon filling on top and either make small parcels or roll them up into croissants. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with egg white. Place in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake for about 20 minutes.
