Salt roast

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 rolled roast (or similar without netting)
  • ½ kg salt
  • n. B. Pfeffer

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

Season the roast with just a little pepper. Pour the salt into a baking dish sized for the roast and place the roast on top. Place the dish in a hot oven and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours at approximately 175°C (350°F) using top/bottom heat. Slice it occasionally to prevent it from getting too dry. The result is a delicious, juicy roast, best enjoyed with potato salad or simply with fresh homemade bread and good butter. Tip: If there are any leftovers, I slice them thinly and put them on my bread as a topping.
