Salvadoran Quesadilla

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 200 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 200 g Parmesan, grated
  • some oil for greasing
  • 1 handful of sesame seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cheesecake from El Salvador

In a bowl, beat the melted margarine, eggs, and sugar until fluffy. Add the sour cream and crème fraîche and continue beating. Add the flour and baking powder, and finally, stir in the Parmesan cheese. Grease a baking dish with a little oil and pour in the batter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired, and bake for 30 minutes at 180°C (350°F) in a fan oven. You can also use a baking sheet instead of a baking dish. This will make the quesadilla thinner and reduce the baking time by a few minutes.
