Satay skewers with pork fillet

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp sauce (teriyaki sauce)
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (white wine vinegar)
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp mustard (Dijon mustard), grainy
  • 2 tbsp mustard (Dijon mustard)
  • 4 tbsp liquid honey
  • 500 g pork fillet(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

and a super great garlic-mustard-marinade or sauce

Mix all ingredients, except the meat, together to form a paste. Transfer 6 tablespoons of the mixture to a dipping bowl. Cut the meat into thin strips and thread them onto oiled wooden skewers in a wavy pattern. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade and marinate for at least 2-3 hours. Then grill for 3 minutes per side and serve with the remaining paste. Alternatively, serve rice as a side dish: then use at least twice as much paste.
