Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 can of sauerkraut
- 2 tbsp lard
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 apple
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 juniper berries, crushed
- Salt
- pepper
- 1 shot of white wine
- Chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 1 piece(s) of dried meat, if required
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Brown the onion in the lard, add the sauerkraut and the finely chopped apple. Sauté everything, then deglaze with the wine and add the stock. Add the remaining spices and, if desired, cook a piece of dried meat with the mixture.
