Sausage goulash with paprika

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 sausages (Vienna sausages)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 500 ml beef broth
  • 150 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. Paprika powder, hot and sweet
  • e.g. cayenne pepper
  • n. B. Sauce thickener

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the sausages into finger-thick pieces, and dice the peppers and onions. Heat the oil in a deep pan. Brown the sausages, then add the peppers and onions and sauté for a few minutes until softened. Stir in the tomato paste and sauté briefly, then deglaze with the beef broth. Bring to a boil, add the cream, and season to taste. Simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes, then thicken with the sauce thickener. Serve with rice or dumplings.
