Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g sausage meat of your choice
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 ½ liters of meat broth
  • possibly chives, cut into rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bring 1 1/2 – 2 liters of meat broth to a boil in a saucepan. Stir in the remaining ingredients until boiling, then turn off the heat. Using two teaspoons, scoop out small dumplings from the broth and add them to the boiling meat broth. The dumplings should simmer with the lid on for about 15 – 20 minutes. It depends on the sausage meat you use. I always get it from a butcher. If you like, you can chop some chives and sprinkle them on top.
