Sausages in curry sauce with kohlrabi fries

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp, leveled agave syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp, leveled paprika powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled curry powder
  • chili powder
  • pepper
  • 1 tbsp, leveled tomato paste
  • 2 kohlrabi bulbs
  • 1 pack of Nuremberg bratwurst, reduced fat
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp turmeric

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel the kohlrabi and cut into thin sticks. Add water and turmeric to a pot and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain well in a colander, then transfer to an ovenproof dish. Mix the oil with the paprika and salt and pour over the kohlrabi fries. Place the dish in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes. For the sauce, heat the chopped tomatoes with the spices and agave syrup, then blend with a hand blender until smooth. Cut each sausage into three pieces, fry until crispy, and add to the sauce.
