Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 green bell peppers
- 2 Cabanossi
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), peeled and finely diced
- ¼ cup oil
- salt and pepper
- some sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Wash the bell peppers, remove the seeds, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Slice the Cabanossi. Peel the tomatoes and finely dice them or press them through a vegetable press. Heat the oil in a pan, add the bell peppers and Cabanossi, and fry. Add all the other ingredients and simmer gently until the sauce has reduced slightly. Season with salt, pepper, and a little sugar. Serve while still hot! In Greece, this is often served with white bread (baguette).
