Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 60 g butter
- 80 g flour
- 100 g quark (low-fat quark)
- 50 g cheese (Gouda or Emmental), grated
- 2 eggs
- some water or milk
- 4 tbsp crème fraîche with herbs
- salt and pepper
- chives
- Fat for the waffle iron
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine the butter with the eggs and quark. Stir in the flour and cheese. Stir in a little milk or water until the batter thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and chives. Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes. Bake 4 waffles in batches in a greased waffle iron. Place a spoonful of crème fraîche in the center of each waffle before serving. A snack for 4 or a main course for 2.
