Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg smoked pork belly
  • 4 sausages (Mettenden)
  • 1 kg beet(s)
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 300 g bacon
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Add the smoked pork belly to a pan of water and cook for about 1 hour. Then remove the smoked pork belly from the broth and chop it finely. Peel and dice the beets, potatoes, and carrots, and cook them in the broth until tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Finally, add the Mettenden sausages and smoked pork belly and cook for about 10 minutes. Finely chop the leek and onions, and dice the bacon. Fry the bacon in the pan and fry the onions and leek rings in it. Pour the mixture over the finished dish and serve.
