seafood cocktail sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise (salad mayonnaise)
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 shot of Madeira or brandy
  • 1 dashes Tabasco
  • ½ tsp, crushed paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 pinch(s) black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Mix the mayonnaise and ketchup thoroughly. It should form a pinkish mixture. Be careful with the ketchup: it’s best to add it gradually so it doesn’t overpower the entire dish. Season the mixture with the other ingredients. The quantities are only a guideline. Tastes great with any seafood served cold, especially shrimp or prawns, or as a change from the usual horseradish with smoked salmon.
