Waffle batter is enough for about 30 waffles
Makes about 30 waffles. Here I’m sharing the waffle recipe we used to make waffles in the cafe where I used to work. It’s the best waffle batter recipe I know. Whisk the beaten eggs with the sugar and margarine until a fluffy batter forms. Add the vanilla sugar and a good splash of real rum. Add 1000g of flour and the baking powder and mix well; this will make the batter a bit sticky. Finally, gradually stir in the milk and stir until the batter has a smooth and soft consistency. Bake the waffles in batches in a hot waffle iron and serve hot. Variation: In winter, stir cinnamon into the batter. Tips: This amount of batter might be a bit too large for a “normal” household. We only use half of everything (except the baking powder), which is enough to easily feed 6 people if everyone is hungry. Any leftover batter can be frozen.
