Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g semolina with shell pieces
  • 2 eggs
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil with the butter and salt. Slowly add the semolina and cook, stirring continuously, until thickened. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the two eggs. Spread the semolina mixture on a moistened chopping board to a thickness of about 1 cm. Once cooled, cut into squares and fry them in hot oil on both sides. Tastes especially good with applesauce!
