Shaking cucumbers

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg cucumber(s)
  • 6 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 7 peppercorns
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • e.g. dill, fresh or frozen

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

simple but so delicious

Peel the cucumbers and cut into approximately 1 x 1 cm pieces. Finely dice the onion. Place all ingredients in a plastic bowl with a tight-fitting lid (add as much dill as you like; frozen is also fine) and shake well. Let stand for a good 12 hours (in the refrigerator).
