Shell pasta with peas and bacon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 shot of oil
  • e.g. broth, clear for the noodles
  • 500 g pasta (shell pasta)
  • 300 g peas (frozen)
  • 200 g ham, diced
  • 150 g crème fraîche or crème légère or sour cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For the pasta, bring plenty of water with the clear broth to a boil and cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan and fry the ham cubes until crispy. If you like, you can add a light peppery touch to the ham at this point. Add the frozen peas to the ham in the pan and toss for a few minutes to cook. Drain the pasta, reserving a little of the broth and setting it aside. Briefly stir the crème fraîche or legere or sour cream into the peas and ham, adding a little broth from the pasta if needed to achieve the desired consistency. Then add the pasta and stir well. Season to taste and enjoy!
