Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg schnitzel meat
  • 250 ml sweet cream
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 bananas
  • 5 saffron threads
  • curry powder
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup crème fraîche
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Sea salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the schnitzel into the thinnest strips possible and sear them in hot olive oil with the diced onion and crushed garlic. Deglaze with salted water and season with curry powder and saffron. Add the peanut butter, honey, and mashed bananas and simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes (on the lowest heat possible). Add the cream and simmer for another 20 minutes. Finally, stir in the crème fraîche, adding more salt if necessary. Basmati rice goes perfectly with this dish.
