Side Dish: Homemade Mashed Potatoes – Very Easy

The perfect side dish: homemade mashed potatoes – very easy recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 piece Potatoes
  • Salt
  • 30 g Butter
  • 200 ml Sweet cream
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg from the mill
  • Herbs to taste
  1. Peel and wash the potatoes, cut in half, quarter and cook in salted water.
  2. Pour off the water (I often collect it for further processing), add the flaked butter and slowly add the cream, in sips, and crush the potatoes with a pounder – DO NOT use a mixer !!!!
  3. If necessary, add a little salt and add the nutmeg from the mill, mash everything well.
  4. I like to add herbs, depending on what I feel like and it goes well with the other side dishes …..
  5. Suggested side dishes: Coarse sausages and a salt.
  6. 6th note: if you get too fat with the cream, just take milk 😉
