Side Dishes: Bacon Sauerkraut with Grapes

Ingredients
 

  • 200 g Smoked streaky bacon
  • 500 g Fresh sauerkraut
  • 1 sprig Fresh grapes
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 Cut onion
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 300 ml Apple juice

Instructions
 

  • Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry them, then add the onions, add a little oil and let them become translucent. Then add the sauerkraut, pour in the apple juice and bring everything to a boil. Let it simmer for a good 45 minutes.
  • In the meantime, pluck the grapes from the branch, wash them and cut them in half with a knife, these are then added to the sauerkraut, stir everything well, simmer for another 5 minutes and then switch off to infuse.
  • As a side dish to all kinds of dishes - this side dish was part of my menu 😉
