Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 90 g rice cake(s), natural
  • 20 g seasoning yeast
  • 35 g tomato paste
  • 25 drops of liquid smoke (hickory)
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil, virgin
  • 10 g pepper, green, pickled
  • 250 ml water, hot
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Blend half of the rice cakes into flour in a blender. Crush/crumble the other half by hand and place both halves in a bowl. Then add the yeast and stir everything together. Add the tomato paste and liquid smoke to the hot water and stir until the tomato paste has dissolved. Then add the oil and stir briefly again. Mix everything together with the rice cakes vigorously until a mixture has formed that resembles meatballs. Stir in the green pepper and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place the mixture in a sealed container in the refrigerator and let it sit for about 6-8 hours. One serving is about 30 grams. You will get about 360 g of Teewurst, which makes 12 servings. 100 g has the following nutritional value: 144 kcal, 21 g carbohydrates, 3.6 g fat, 5.3 g protein, 1 g sugar.
