Simple Gruel
The perfect simple gruel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 300 ml Vegetable broth
- 200 ml Milk
- 2 tbsp Cream cheese
- Black pepper from the mill
- Salt
- 3 Discs Bacon
- 1 small Onion
- Flour
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Parsely
- Heat the butter in a saucepan and briefly sweat the flour in it. Deglaze with vegetable stock and milk and season to taste with a little pepper and salt and simmer gently on a low heat for a good 10 minutes.
- Halve the bacon slices and fry until crispy. Degrease on crepe
- Peel, halve and slice the onion. Then roll in flour and fry in butter until crispy. Degrease on crepe.
- Finely chop the parsley leaves.
- Remove the soup from the stove and stir in the cream cheese. Season the soup again with the spices.
- Put the hot soup in a soup cup and garnish with the bacon, onion rings and parsley ….. enjoy your meal …..
