Slambuc – potato noodles

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g bacon cubes
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • ½ kg tagliatelle or lasagna sheets
  • 3 large onions
  • 4 tbsp paprika powder
  • 300 g bratwurst, e.g. Sucuk
  • vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Hungarian shepherd’s court

Fry the roughly diced onions, sliced ​​sausages, and diced bacon or ham in hot oil until crispy, then remove from the pan. Lightly fry the uncooked tagliatelle or lasagna sheets, cut into roughly thumb-sized pieces, in a little oil, then add the roughly diced potatoes and the seasoning. Cover everything with water and simmer uncovered for about an hour. When the water is almost gone, add a little more. Then add the onion, bacon, and sausage mixture, mix well, and you’re done.
